Homemade Meat Sauce
Ingredients:
1 lb. ground beef
1 lb. mild breakfast sausage
2 tsp minced garlic
2 cans (14.5 ounce) diced tomatoes
12 ounces tomato paste
2 Tbsp dried parsley
2 Tbsp dried basil
1 Tbsp Italian seasoning
A shakin of salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder mix (AKA @tatefarmstx Steak Shake)
Directions:
In a large skillet or saucepan, combine ground beef, sausage, and garlic. Cook over medium-high heat until browned. Drain half the fat, or leave it. Our beef is lean so I don’t drain anything. Add tomatoes, tomato paste, parsley, basil and salt mixture. Simmer for 30-45 minutes.
