In a shocking turn of events… we offer a lot of extras! I mean… we ARE a lot of extra!
My favorite “extra” is the Open Fire Steak Cooking Class. Evan will set up our camp wagon and demonstrate how to cook different cuts of steak, with Tate Farms steak, over an open fire. Guests can try different cuts… Denver Steak, Chuck Eye Steak, Flat Iron… and at different temperatures. He will teach guests what rare, medium rare, etc should look and taste like.
Last night we had our first campers. A cute, young couple from the Duncanville area. They were looking for a way to get out of town without… getting out of town. They brought all of their own camping gear and booked 2 breakfast boxes… which y’all know I was SO EXCITED about!
I got up this morning and made them breakfast tacos with Tate Farms beef breakfast sausage, Tate Farms fresh eggs, fresh tortillas and Tate Farms coffee.
I delivered it to them as they were snuggled up by their camp fire.
And it made me so so happy! Y’all know I love to host. Y’all know I love to cook. Y’all know I love to feed people!
This type of hosting is new to me. Meeting them in a pasture with a breakfast box and then driving away… but I loved it! Any chance we get to share Tate Farms with people… to love our neighbor… to feed them Tate Farms products… is a chance to live out our purpose.
