Sunday Offering: 3 Recipes for Leftover Fudge

I know it seems crazy, but with all the sweets that we have over every event during the holidays… we always have fudge leftover!

Leftover fudge, y’all!

I think because it’s just straight up chocolate it may get passed over for like a Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup or a Chocolate Covered Pretzel. Either way, it’s leftover. And as much as I want to eat it all… I can’t! So I came up with 3 ways to use leftover fudge. Easy, easier and easiest.

If you’re using the recipe I posted last week for Fantasy Fudge, this stuff will last at room temp for at least 3 weeks and in the refrigerator for up to 2 months. Meaning you have lots of opportunity to make these next few recipes!

For the easy recipe, I looked up a basic recipe for Chocolate Chip Muffins and then in place of the 1 cup of chocolate chips… I added 1 cup of chopped fudge!

Chop fudge into small pieces.

This turned out so good!! The fudge doesn’t stay in tact like a chocolate chip would so it melts into the batter giving you a butter muffin with bursts of fudgey goodness.

For an even easier use of leftover fudge… Fudge Brownies! Make a batch of your favorite boxed brownies… and then top with chopped fudge before baking! Bake as directed on the package… and have a huge glass of cold milk ready when these babies come out!

And now… for the EASIEST way to use leftover holiday fudge…

HOT CHOCOLATE!!!!
So so good and so so easy! Heat 1 and 1/3 cups of milk on the stove top or in the microwave. Drop a good size square of fudge into a mug and cover with hot milk. Stir until combined. Top with marshmallows or any hot chocolate accoutrement of your choice. This is so easy and DELICIOUS!

Honestly, I use 2 squares of fudge! But, you do you.

Hot Chocolate!!

If your fudge contains nuts, those little pieces will surprise you as you sip on this chocolatey bliss!

You guys… I hope you enjoy this weird week between Christmas and New Years. Eat all the leftovers and enjoy all the naps!!

I don’t know about you, but I’m always ready for a fresh start and a new year.

Happy Sunday, friends. Love y’all! Melissa
